Please note that you may only edit Press Releases in Pending Status. See the attached screenshot to aid you in locating the status of your submission.
Instructions for Pending Press Releases:
You may edit a Press Release that is still in "Pending Status" by logging in and clicking "My Profile" in the top right corner. Once in your profile select the "My Press Releases" tab.
Locate the item you wish to alter and click "Edit." Make the necessary changes to your submission and click on the box titled "Check here to edit your pending press release".
Hit the "Save" button. That's it!
Instructions for Approved/Sent Press Releases:
If you're press release has been approved or sent to the media outlets you selected then you will have to submit a corrected version by editing the version published at AmericanTowns.
You can do so by logging in and selecting "edit this article" at the bottom of the article. Make any necessary changes and add the word "CORRECTION" to the beginning of the title. The "CORRECTION" indicator will ensure that it isn't mistaken for a duplicate. Check the box "click here to submit a new press release" and click the save button.
You'll be prompted to add some contact info and to select the media outlets you'd like the press release to be sent to.
Click "submit your press release" and you are all set.
